A general method for synthesis of Se-trifluoromethyl esters through Iron-catalyzed trifluoromethylselenolation of acid chlorides

Se-trifluoromethyl esters were prepared in good to excellent yields by the Iron-catalyzed trifluoromethylselenolation of acid chlorides.
