Novel dabigatran derivatives with a fluorine atom at the C-2 position of the terminal benzene ring: Design, synthesis and anticoagulant activity evaluation

Fifteen fluorinated dabigatran derivatives were designed and synthesized. Eleven derivatives were evaluated for their thrombin inhibitory activity in vitro. Moreover, two derivatives were developed to investigate their anticoagulant activities in vivo.167
