Preparation of amine functionalized carbon nanotubes via a bioinspired strategy and their application in Cu2+ removal

Amine functionalized carbon nanotubes were prepared via combination of mussel inspired chemistry and Michael addition reaction. These modified carbon nanotubes exhibited significant enhanced adsorption capacity toward copper ions.
