MD simulation of growth of Pd on Cu (1Â 1Â 1) and Cu on Pd (1Â 1Â 1) substrates

- The 2NN MEAM potential of Cu-Pd were developed, which can be used to describe the fundamental physical properties of Cu-Pd alloys.
- The Cu/Pd bilayer films were prepared by depositing either the Pd on Cu (1 1 1) substrates or the Cu on Pd (1 1 1) substrates.
- The twin structures and stacking faults were observed in the deposited bilayer films, in accordance with experimental results.
- The incident energy was found to affect quality of the growth twins.
