Mineralization on polylactide/gelatin composite nanofibers using simulated body fluid containing amino acid

- Electrospun poly(l-lactide)/gelatin composite nanofibers as substrates for biomineralization.
- Amino acids with different charge characteristics were introduced into simulated body fluid (SBF).
- Amino acids take part in the early stage formation of prenucleation clusters in SBF.
- Amino acids were helpful to obtain c-axis preferentially oriented hydroxyapatite.
