The investigation of Ni-Al and Co-Al based layered double hydroxides and their derived mixed oxides thin films deposited by pulsed laser deposition

► PLD can successfully be used to produce highly metallic dispersed Co-Al and Ni-Al based thin films from complex targets of LDHs. ► Ni-Al and Co-Al LDHs films are formed using the 1064 nm wavelength. ► Mixed oxides Ni(Al)O and Co(Al)O along with small amounts of NiO and CoO phases, respectively, using the 532 nm, 355 nm, 266 nm and 193 nm wavelengths.
