Superhydrophobic perfluoropolymer surfaces having heterogeneous roughness created by dip-coating from solutions containing a nonsolvent

- Perfluoro methacrylate and styrene were copolymerized in CO2-expanded monomer phase.
- Flat and micro/nano hierarchical rough surfaces were prepared using perfluoroalkyl polymers.
- Superhydrophobic surfaces were obtained, when micro/nano hierarchical surface are formed.
- Particle diameters decreased with the increase of methanol content of the copolymer solution.
