Study of electrodepositing Au on hollow polystyrene microspheres

▸ The gold is electrodeposited on hollow polystyrene microspheres by self-designed setup in this paper. ▸ The Au electrodeposit is finer and more uniform on account of the microspheres freely move on the cathode. ▸ The morphology, thickness and roughness of Au electrodeposits were analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Atomic Force Microscope, respectively.
