Hybrid structure for efficiency enhancement of photodetectors

► We combined photonic crystal (PC) and nonporous structure in silicon (Si). ► Reflection is reduced drastically in broad spectral range by this structure. ► The obtained reflectance was about 3% across a spectral range of 400-2000 nm. ► The absorption was increased up to 96% across a spectral range of 400-2000 nm.
