Adsorption behavior of glycidoxypropyl-trimethoxy-silane on titanium alloy Ti-6.5Al-1Mo-1V-2Zr

► The adsorption isotherm of glycidoxypropyl-trimethoxy-silane (GTMS) on a titanium alloy was found fitting Temkin isotherm by XPS. ► From an electrochemical point of view, the in situ adsorption process of GTMS molecules agreed with XPS results. ► At 30 °C, the adsorption of GTMS molecules is spontaneous, and follows a chemisorption-based mechanism.
