Removal of uranium and fluorine from wastewater by double-functional microsphere adsorbent of SA/CMC loaded with calcium and aluminum

SA/CMC-Ca-Al microsphere adsorbent is synthesized via sol-gel method. The adsorption isotherm is better described by the linear Langmuir model for both uranium and fluoride removal. And the adsorption mechanism of the adsorbent involved the surface adsorption, coordination reaction, and ion-exchange.
