Study on structures and photoluminescence of nitrogenated carbon nanotip arrays synthesized by plasma assisted hot filament chemical vapor deposition

► Nitrogenated carbon nanotip arrays were grown by plasma assisted hot filament CVD. ► The photoluminescence of NCNAs with different structures was studied. ► The emission bands are related to the size of sp2 carbon clusters. ► The photoluminescence intensity is related to the light trapping of NCNAs.
