Thermal stable superhydrophobic polyphenylsilsesquioxane/nanosilica composite coatings

► Superhydrophobic PPSQ/nanosilica composite coatings obtained by spray coating. ► Superhydrophobicity of the composite coatings shows excellent thermal stability. ► Pure PPSQ coating by solvent-nonsolvent method lost superhydrophobicity at 200 °C.
