Preparation of nanowall Bi2S3 films by chemical bath deposition

► Bi2S3 films with novel nanowall structure were prepared by chemical bath deposition. ► It is found that the pH value (pH = 6 or pH = 6.5) of the solution is a crucial parameter to obtain the nanowall shaped Bi2S3 films. ► The structures, morphologies, optical properties and electrical properties of the Bi2S3 films were studied. ► The nanowall Bi2S3 films show obvious photo-sensitivity, and the photo-to-dark conductivity ratio of the films is around 50.
