A corrosion-resistance superhydrophobic TiO2 film

► TiO2 suspension containing TiO2 nanoparticles as precursors. ► TiO2 nanoparticles leaded to the hierarchical structure. ► Superhydrophobic TiO2 film with great high water contact angle of 173.7°. ► The film still showed superhydrophobicity after corroded with strong acid. ► The film prevented the metal substrate from corrosion.
