Tribological behavior of cold-sprayed nanocrystalline and conventional copper coatings

► Nanocrystalline Cu coatings were successfully obtained on A6061 substrate via cold spraying. ► The microstructure and tribological properties were investigated. ► The enhancement of the wear properties of the NC Cu was attributed to the grain refinement and the superior hardness.
