Chromium depletion, Δx = xk − x, in Fe100−xCrx (x = 2.2, 3.9, 6.4, 8.5, 10.25, 10.75, 14.9, 15.15) alloys quenched into LN (left panel) and those quenched onto brass (right panel) as found from CEMS (pre surface zone) and TRANS (bulk) Mössbauer spectra (xk - Cr content in the pre surface or bulk as estimated from the average hyperfine field found for the quenched samples).
