Facile preparation in two steps of highly hydrophobic coatings on polypropylene surface

- The water contact angles of bilayer coatings are higher (values between 110° and 130°).
- The wettability of films surface was affected by its chemical composition.
- Fluorinated silica particles contribute to the improvement of hydrophobic properties.
