Structural and magnetic properties of Pt in Co/Pt multilayers

► Structural and magnetic properties of Pt are investigated. ► Pt-Co intermixing region increases with decreasing the Pt layer thickness. ► The interface atoms are polarized by direct Pt-Co hybridization. ► An induced magnetism for Pt layers was quantitatively studied.
