Preparation of fluoride substituted apatite cements as the building blocks for tooth enamel restoration

► A fluorapatite cement was prepared and could be filled into the enamel carious cavities to repair the damaged enamel. ► The cement could be tightly combined with the enamel because of the chemical reaction between the cement and enamel. ► The cement had good biocompatibility that satisfied the relevant criterion on dental biomaterials.
