Synthesis of magnetocoated tetrapod ZnO-whiskers by polymer precursor derived method

▶ Magnetocoated tetrapod ZnO-whiskers can be synthesized by precursor derived method. ▶ The precursor polymer can be prepared from FeCl3 modified polymethylsilane. ▶ The precursor can be pyrolyzed and coated on the surface of whiskers at above 800 °C. ▶ Magnetocoated tetrapod ZnO-whiskers show magnetic loss from a μ″ between 0.1 and 0.3.
