Microstructure of X210Cr12 steel after the forming in semi-solid state visualized by very low energy SEM in ultra high vacuum

► Microstructure of X210Cr12 steel after forming in semi-solid state has been studied using the UHV SLEEM. ► After thixoforming of X210Cr12 steel the structure consisted of austenite surrounded by carbide-ledeburite network. ► Annealing of the samples after semi-solid state processing leaded to the decomposition of metastable austenite.
