Effect of dry and wet ambient environment on the pulsed laser ablation of titanium

► Effect of dry and liquid confined environment on Excimer laser ablation performance of titanium has been investigated. ► The surface morphology and crystallinity are investigated for various number of laser pulses. ► Various features like grains, cavities, pores and cracks are observed by SEM analysis. ► From XRD analysis it is revealed that new phases are formed under various ambient conditions.
