Facile one-step synthesis of N-doped ZnO micropolyhedrons for efficient photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde under visible-light irradiation

- N-doped ZnO micropolyhedrons were obtained by a one step simple calcining process.
- N-doped ZnO had optical capability in the whole range of visible light spectrum.
- Doping of N into ZnO can greatly enhance the photocatalytic activity of ZnO.
