Online surface characterization of paper and paperboards in a wide-range of the spatial wavelength spectrum

► Online surface characterization of 8 reels of paper and paperboard was presented. ► Both sides of newspaper and uncoated and coated sides of paperboard were studied. ► Topography was analysed in a wide range of wavelength spectrum from 0.1 to 10 mm. ► Fine coated edge and middle position paperboard were successfully characterized. ► Adopted line-triangulation method can be a valuable application in paper industry.
