Self-healing coatings containing microcapsule

► The microcapsules containing epoxy resins were synthesized successfully. The size is around 100 μm. ► The microcapsules basically exhibit good storage stability at temperature below 200 °C. ► Cracks in coating were successfully healed when epoxy resin was released from microcapsules.
