Enhancing the surface properties of the immobilized Degussa P-25 TiO2 for the efficient photocatalytic removal of methylene blue from aqueous solution

► Immobilized Degussa P25 system with enhanced surface properties was fabricated. ► Surface enhancement was achieved via photocatalytic removal of ENR50 binder. ► Immobilized system performed better than Degussa P-25 slurry system. ► The ENR-50 binder photocatalytically degraded while PVC did not. ► The immobilized system was highly efficient, sustainable and reusable.
