► Coating to improve oxidation and decarburization resistance was coated onto bearing steel. ► The coating material consisted of dolomite, bauxite and silicon carbide mixture. ► The newly densified coating comprised of spinels improved corrosion resistance. ► The reducing atmosphere made the coating much effective at high temperature.
