Photoemission study on double-decker type bis(phthalocyaninato)tin(IV) and its complexes

► We studied on the electronic structures of SnPc2 and its oxidized complexes. ► SnPc2FeCl4 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c. ► The SnPc2I3 complex showed intermolecular charge-transfer absorption. ► The electronic configuration of oxidized SnPc2 is similar to that of LuPc2. ► An unpaired electron is created on the π-electron system of oxidized SnPc2.
