Transition from IVR limited vibrational energy transport to bulk heat transport

► Vibrational energy transport along molecular chains such as poly-peptides is studied. ► On length-scales of a few chemical bonds, vibrational energy transport is slowed down by intra-site IVR. ► The response depends on the molecular thermometer used.
