Orientation and morphology of chloroaluminum phthalocyanine films grown by vapor deposition: Electrical field-induced molecular alignment

► The electric field was applied during the PVD of thin AlClPc films. ► The electric field of 1.4 kV mm−1 modified the film structure noticeably. ► Tilt angles of the molecules were measured using polarised Raman spectroscopy. ► Assignments in vibrational spectra were performed using DFT computations.
