Restricted open-shell Kohn-Sham theory: N unpaired electrons

High-spin or low-spin? The lowest-lying states for different multiplicities of iron complexes are described with a combination of restricted open-shell Kohn-Sham theory and Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics.
