Localization induced intense red upconversion luminescence in monodispersed K3ZrF7:Yb3+/Er3+ nanocrystals

Monodisperse Yb3+/Er3+ co-doped K3ZrF7 nanocrystals was prepared by a high temperature co-precipitate method. Intense upconversion luminescence at ultraviolet, green and red regions were observed with the red one dominating the whole emission spectrum under the excitation at 980 nm.75
