Second- and third-order nonlinear optical properties of unsubstituted and mono-substituted chalcones

- The values of the 1st hyperpolarizability of the chalcones molecules were of the same order of the PNA.
- It was determined the two-photon cross section absorption spectra to two chalcones molecules.
- Theoretical calculations yielded transition properties in accordance with the experimental results.
