A characterization of the two-step reaction mechanism of phenol decomposition by a Fenton reaction

- The theoretical Ea of liquids systems are lower than gas phases.
- Good agreement is found between DFT studies and experimental results.
- Theoretical and experimental order shows the trend: hydroquinone > catechol > resorcinol.
