Free volume dependence of an ionic molecular rotor in Fluoroalkylphosphate (FAP) based ionic liquids

â¿¢The emission properties of an ionic molecular rotor, Thioflavin-T (ThT) have been investigated in Fluoroalkylphosphate (FAP) anion based ionic liquids.â¿¢The micro-viscosity around ThT in FAP anion based ionic liquids is quite different from their bulk viscosity.â¿¢The free volume in these IL media seems to be an important parameter in dictating the torsional relaxation of ThT in these ILs.
