High kinetic stability of hypercubane: Tight-binding molecular dynamics study

⿢Hypothetical hydrocarbon hypercube which is called hypercubane possesses high thermal stability.⿢The temperature dependence of the hypercubane lifetime to the moment of its decomposition is obtained from the numerical experiment.⿢The activation energy and frequency factor of the Arrhenius equation are calculated.⿢Hypercubane lifetime at room temperature reaches 1014 s.
