Photofragment imaging from mass-selected ions using a reflectron mass spectrometer I. Development of an apparatus and application to Mg+-Ar complex

- The photofragment imaging apparatus from mass-selected ions has been developed.
- The reflectron time-of-flight mass spectrometer with an imaging detector was used.
- We applied this apparatus to ultraviolet photodissociation of Mg+-Ar complex ions.
- The recoil energy smaller than 100 meV can be resolved with this apparatus.
