Dielectric relaxation of hydration water in the Dickerson-Drew duplex solution probed by THz spectroscopy

- Dielectric relaxation of the Dickerson-Drew DNA solution is studied in 0.4-1.3 THz region.
- Reorientational relaxation time of water molecule is slowed by DNA from 7 to 12 ps.
- Weakly bound hydration water extends its radius by 7.6 Å from tight-binding water layer.
