Valence structures and magnetic interactions of 1-D mixed-metal complexes, [Ni1−xPdxX(chxn)2]X2 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 1.0, chxn = (1R,2R)-diaminocyclohexane; X = Cl, Br) studied by 15N solid-state NMR

- Natural-abundance 15N NMR spectroscopy measurements were performed.
- The NMR signals for 15N bonded directly to Pd3+ sites were observed.
- 6-8 Pd sites along both sides of Ni3+ are converted into the averaged Pd3+.
- The marked broadening of the 15N signals at Ni3+ sites observed.
