Improvement of photocatalytic activity of NaTaO3 under visible light by N and F doping

The strategy of codoping with F and N is found to reduce the band gap by 1.12 eV, without introducing any mid gap states. The band edge alignment of the codoped system shows thermodynamic feasibility of water splitting to produce both H2 and O2.
