Collapse of charge ordering and enhancement of magnetocaloric effect in La0.5Ca0.5−xAgxMnO3 (x = 0.0 and 0.2)

- La0.5Ca0.5−xAgxMnO3 (x = 0.0 and x = 0.2) compounds crystallize in an orthorhombic symmetry with Pnma space group.
- Enhancement of the Curie temperature with silver concentration.
- 20% of Ag substitution at the A-site destroys the low temperature CO phase and transforms it into a FM phase.
- A strong increase in magnetic entropy with silver doped.
