Surface plasmon response of metal spherical nanoshells coated with dielectric overlayer

- SPR of metal spherical nanoshells coated with dielectric overlayer were investigated.
- The effect of coating on the SPR linewidth is dependent on metal shell radius ratio.
- Linewidth narrowing is expected for metal shell with strong coupling strength.
- Q-factor and E field distribution is also dependent on the dielectric coating.
