SERS and DFT study of silver nano particle induced dark isomerisation in 1H-2(Phenylazo) imidazole

- Importance of 1H-2(Phenylazo) imidazole (PaiH) molecule is discussed.
- Interaction of PaiH with silver nano particles is possibly through theN3 atom.
- Concentration dependent dark isomerisation (trans-to-cis) is suggested.
- DFT calculations are in good agreement with experimental results.
