First volatility study of the 1-alkylpyridinium based ionic liquids by Knudsen effusion

- The vapor pressures of the 1-alkylpyridinium ILs, were measured by Knudsen effusion.
- The effect of the identity/nature of the cation on the volatility was evaluated.
- The volatility of pyridinium is five times lower than the imidazolium ILs.
