Field-induced dependence of rotational diffusion processes in smectic films deposited on a solid surface

► Numerical study of the ultra-thin smectic films properties has been carried out. ► Molecular model is applied for calculating the rotational diffusion coefficients. ► Reasonable agreement between the theoretical and experimental data has been obtained.
