Isomeric effects on fragmentations of crotonaldehyde and methacrolein in low-energy electron-molecule collisions

► Fragmentation spectra on electron molecule collisions of two isomeric α,β-enones. ► H, CO and HCO losses are the major channels along with rearrangements. ► Fragmentation pattern markedly varies with electron energy. ► At low electron energy, fragmentation shows interesting isomeric effect. ► Observed data are consistent with theoretical kinetic and thermodynamic data.
