Study of intrinsic parameters (IPs) for Cr3+ ions in fluorine crystals

► The superposition model (SPM) parameters for Cr3+-F− combinations are determined. ► The applicability of the obtained SPM parameters has been analyzed in ABF3 compounds. ► It is shown that the obtained SPM parameters are effective for distinct Cr3+ centers.
