Response electric properties of α-helix polyglycines: A CAM-B3LYP DFT investigation

► Electric properties of polyglycines in α-helix conformations were studied. ► We calculated dipole moments and static electronic (hyper)polarizabilities. ► Computations were performed using the long-range corrected CAM-B3LYP DFT level. ► Evolution of the properties with the chain length was investigated.
