An ab initio study of antimony dicarbide (C2Sb)

► Characterization of a new molecular species: C2Sb. ► High-level ab initio calculation including spin-orbit effects. ► The molecule is found to be quasi-linear. Three relevant geometries are reported. ► Dissociation energy is found to be relatively large. ► The low-lying excited valence-type electronic states description is given.
